Los Angeles Neighborhood Housing Services Commended for Home Preservation Work

Los Angeles, CA - April 5, 2010 - Ken Wade, CEO of NeighborWorks America, announced that Los Angeles Neighborhood Housing Services (LA NHS) was the NeighborWorks agency that helped the most clients with foreclosure mitigation counseling in the nation. In 2009, LA NHS counseled 3,633 borrowers facing foreclosure in connection with the National Foreclosure Mitigation Counseling program. Read the NeighborWorks press release.
In the midst of this work, LA NHS was also acknowledged for placing #5 in the nation with respect to serving first-time homeownership clients.
These are phenomenal achievements considering that California is one of the states hardest hit by the mortgage crisis.
This recognition demonstrates LA NHS’ commitment to helping families facing foreclosure and its passion for creating “neighborhoods of choice.”
